Prior to joining Scotwork in 2021, Andy spent a decade in the heavily-regulated and competitive UK energy and utility industry with Scottish Power, SSE and Ovo Energy, along with two years at the City of Edinburgh Council. Having graduated in Marketing in 2008 and become a Chartered Marketer, Andy spent the first few years of his career in Communications and PR before moving into Commercial roles in 2014.
As a senior commercial manager for these organisations, Andy regularly negotiated agreements and problem-solved conflicts with key accounts, including retailers, brokers, service providers, letting agents, social landlords, local government authorities, and more.
For Andy, implementing a strong negotiation structure and skill set is critical to effective business performance, and he draws on his commercial and personal experiences to assist his clients.
